*EDIT*

please pray for me guys.

i haven’t been as happy as i usually am. i’ve pretty much constantly been on the verge of crying ever since i left harding.

i guess a small part of it is stress as i look at the 100 pages of change and eng that i have to read by tomorrow morning. but i’m not going to worry about that because in the long run, how important is one test really in the scheme of things? it won’t save someone’s life, it won’t make anyone a better person, and it won’t bring anyone to God. what will i accomplish with this one test?

but i think the other part of it is a delayed state of culture shock. i’ve really been missing slovakia and the whole missionary atmosphere that i experienced in slovakia and the workshop at harding really made me miss all of that stuff. it made me think that for most of my life, i’ve been a missionary kid but i wouldn’t know where to start in a bible study with someone who wanted to know Jesus. that’s where aim comes in. i can’t wait till aim. man. that will be so awesome. i’ve seen how it changes people’s lives an i’ve seen the products of aim such as matus from slovakia. our class is going to be awesome. so until then, high school is just a thorn in my side.

i’m also gonna start stepping up in the youth group more, i hate how dead EVERYONE is. at least we have enthusiastic seniors who like organizing guys retreats and stuff. yep, i’ll probably have a sophmore run the screens, and hopefully lead singing more.

sorry, i had to get that off my chest. love ya.

*EDIT*

well, the trip was amazing.

i can’t wait until AIM now. i’m so excited. i had to reevaluate why i was going to AIM- not that i was going for the wrong reasons, but i have some new ones.

got to hang out with all the aimers. they’re all cool.
pretty much amazing.

we went to the coolest haunted house ever and alissa and elisha were really scared. it was funny.

went to harding for the world missions workshop and saw a lot of missionaries that i hadn’t seen in forever. i saw a guy named matus from slovakia that our first aim team studied with. now he’s a missionary with his wife in czech republic. that’s exciting.

so yeah, that’s what’s on my mind. so i love everyone.

oh yeah, yes only girls comment; i can’t help it.

  7. Hey Logan, man, sorry to hear this week has been so sucky for you. I know culture shock womps, but the good part is at this time next year, we’re going to be in depth training for being missionarys! Im excited that you’re more excited about it :c) I also had to question my reasons for going to AIM last week, it was kind of an offensive thing to make myself do, question why Im looking foward to one of the coolest things i’ve ever done thus far in my life… but i found new reasons, deeper reasons, and that rocks. I’ve been praying for my AIM class and my class mates (thats you) since I was like 11, so I know God will bless our class and teach us soo much together.
So world missions workshop at Harding? Sounds like I missed some fun! Did you stay in the dorms or what? I have some good friends that go to school there. Yes.. I count 10 girls now that have commented on your xanga… thats sad logan… just sad. Soooo I shoulda wrote an e-mail. My bad.

  8. I know how you feel. Hopefully Don and Rilda can take us back to Slovakia once before you go to AIM. Things will get better and consider yourself lucky that you have less than a year for AIM… I can’t wait either. Love you and I’m glad you’re home.

  11. 13… now 14 comments from girls, I bet some guys are jelouse hehe. I am excited to come and hang out with you guys on Sunday! My Dad went through SIBI with Jeff… he was in the class after only because he started in December and not in Aug. We were going to do mission work in Argenena with the Raiders… but it never worked out, God had other plans, but we have been good friends with them ever since. I remember them before they had any kids! Oh yeah, and we had small groups with them too… or was it like a Team group? I don’t know, all I remember is spending lots of time at their house or them at our house while they talked to my parents. Leah was one of Morwyn’s inspirations to do ballet (she did it for 2 years then we moved here… she is joining a Brazillian class next year!) so yeah.,… there is lost of history with them.
I am so excited about all the things we will learn in AIM, before I came here to Brazil I can’t say I ever went off with my friends and showed them Christ… I went along with other Christians and did that maybe… but never my own self. Here I have been challenged in so many ways, and I want to learn and grow, my heart is excited about missions.
    See you next month!
    Love!
